Entrants create a fictional character based on characteristics they'd like in their ideal president.
Entries could be either written about the character or in the character's first person. They could be biographies, short stories, essays, poetry....ah, the possibilities are endless.
With election time looming, this could draw in some serious satire (which I'd love to see). Most of all, it would get people thinking.
Something that students have to do already would be helpful.
a persuasive or argumentative paper on something that effects the students of OU-C. People wouldn't have to do a whole bunch of extra work, just some refining on their argumentative paper for 151.

I like Deb's idea:

Fictional character based on their ideal person...not everyone is as politically concerned as us three.
Not so much needing a mate, just the kind of person they wish they could be...
No, invent your favorite super-person. Give them unusual attributes and create a Frankenstein monster of sorts.
ok, so work with something students have already. A argumentative or persuasive paper on any topic that effects OU-C campus.
Broad, and 151 has a persuasive assignment anyway...would definitely generate more entries.
