Hey, guys! I just finished my literature ladder for my English 356 online course. I'm really proud of it and wanted to share. Have a peek if you feel like it!
What grade would this be aimed at, Jen? How long would you give folks to complete this task? Why not culminate in a final paper?
I _loved_ the poster idea!! Wow. And revolution discussion. Having the links right there is so handy. And the design itself was nice to look at--very clear. I wonder if I could talk Chels into doing this over break . . .
The assignment was not time-limit based. I tried to assign as many projects as I saw common in other Literature Ladders I researched. A final paper would be a nice touch, if it were mandatory. It wasn't, so I tried to elaborate a little with the introductory post.
Thanks for your comments! I have been patiently awaiting feedback for this; I'm not sure if it was a great or a ridiculous idea to format it in a blog. Most other students did theirs in a Word document or as a Power Point presentation. I just thought it would be very visually appealing and easy to navigate. Making a variety of links easily accessible was one of my main goals.

And since this is a Young Adult Literature class, the project is aimed at high schoolers, but might work for junior high students as well.
Are you kidding?? You are the only person who put this in a blog??!?
If felt so utterly natural that I thought Jan had assigned it in blog format!
You are so cutting edge. Seriously.
btw--I only asked those ideas b/c I'd like to use some of them!
I'm so flattered! Have at it! I was honestly hoping that by having it online, others could use it for their own benefit.
I never thought of a blog for a literature ladder.
...actually I had never thought of a blog for educational purposes. Blogs have been for daily journals and television show spoilers.
How useful!
